Specifying the Mode
The synchronizing mode can be specified by using the Mode popup menu located on the Setup panel.
The Standard mode pays attention to the contents of both targets. It is suitable for the vast majority of synchronization scenarios.
The Blind synchronization mode is only relevant for unidirectional syncs. It essentially pays no attention to files in the destination target; only those files in the source target.
The Biased synchronization modes are only relevant for bidirectional syncs. When biased sync mode is in effect, synchronizations will only be allowed to occur in one direction. ChronoSync will scan both targets as it normally does but won’t allow a sync to occur that will go against the bias.
The Blind and Biased modes are for advanced uses only. Before using the Blind or Biased modes, please consult the ChronoSync manual for a detailed explanation.
